The May 11th meeting went ahead, the purpose of which was to introduce Cromer Road NHW. The meeting got off to a good start with Mick Holland explaining the purpose of NHW. Unfortunately the turn out from Cromer Road was not huge but they were represented.
To his great disservice Mick then suffered a complete sense of humour failure when introducing the “new” Graffiti Watch. The petulant pen throwing and “ I have spent hours” Tantrum were less than well received by the whole group. Following this and his continual attempts to make his point by harping on about how much work he had done (paid) and how ungrateful we all are, the rest of the meeting was more subdued than usual.
As Micks organisation is no longer willing to fund meetings at the Unitarian Hall, this will be the last meeting that he hosts, we plan more informal events and will continue to work with the various agencies we worked with prior to us forming Neighbourhood Watch and after. The campaign on the street lighting for the area is still going ahead. More here!
The areas launch of Neighbourhood Policing is due in the Early part of July
Wynn made some good points in relation to when to call the police on 999 and when not. More here
