Kilworth Avenue

The group now incorporates Cromer Road, Hastings Road and part of Southchurch Avenue, it will soon also include parts of York Road, we have had a couple of very positive meetings and the vast majority of Kilworth and the other streets are signed up.

You don't have to do anything at all. just remain vigilant, and report to either the co-ordinators or the police things that make you suspicious. Also report any crime, we have a history in this area of perhaps accepting what others in say Thorpe Bay would not, for reports after the event you can use the think at the bottom of the page or HERE

There are useful links to the left including guidance on when to call 999

We now have neighbourhood policing, if you want details of who to contact let us know.

The group is one of the most successful and largest in the Borough, we aim to make this area a better, safer and more pleasant place to live, there is no reason for this jewel of an area of Southend on Sea to be branded as it is.  It after all has a thriving community spirit.

Since the inception of NHW and more active and pro-active policing, the area has improved, we are in the throes of setting up a proper residents association and asking question of SBC "where has all the money gone" !

We have also had some positive press coverage, see here

WE HAVE ALSO HAD OUR FIRST ARREST AND PROSECUTION AS A DIRECT RESULT OF NHW!!!!

Glyn produced an excellent newsletter which has been distributed by e-mail and hand, if you haven't seen it look here
